About

A gold-plated historical coach in the shape of the National Theatre drawn by a stuffed weeping donkey refers to our nations problematic spots.
Due to donkey’s abilities, persistence and irrefusability the donkey is mostly found in the role of a slave. It is used for various tasks increasing business efficiency and better prosperity of the leader. It is mostly mere means transport and, or direct replacement of a means transport.
In contrast to its noble and elegant colleague – the horse, the donkey is not respected in this context by the society.
Its loyalty, double tenacity and persistence is paradoxically perceived, mostly with non-emphatic arrogance, as stupidity.
Perhaps, this devotion, persistence, irrefusability/denial, and finally also its bodily structure is close to our nation’s history by something.
The donkey is not perceived here with negation, on the contrary, in connection with the visual work of art, it presses for offering a possibility of identification and urging for one’s satisfaction.
Its co-existence with the towed burden, a cultural symbol of our society, it simultaneously refers to the way how we perceive the present. Open-air museum- like traditionalism and mental burden of national identity.
